Currently, Shandong Zhuangfa Pump Industry Co., Ltd. is rushing to produce a batch of diesel engine cooling water pumps for Weichai Power. Thanks to the high efficiency and low energy consumption of its products, the company's orders are already booked until March of next year. Han Yuntao, General Manager of Shandong Zhuangfa Pump Industry Co., Ltd., explained: "Our products mainly consist of eight series and more than 500 varieties, with an annual output of more than 60,000 units (sets). We can meet the needs of various fields, from shipbuilding and diesel engine components to national defense construction, and our products have a leading market share."
Unlike in the past, more than half of the 2,000+ water pumps in this order are newly developed products with a high degree of customization. Not only are the pump bodies, pump shafts, and impellers diverse in form, but they also need to be suitable for various application scenarios. Cui Junbo, Chief Engineer of Shandong Zhuangfa Pump Industry Co., Ltd., first had to overcome the challenge of design time constraints. Cui Junbo stated, "Previously, when users requested new products, the cycle from product design to prototype production took more than 40 days. Last year, after introducing 3D printing equipment, this cycle was shortened to 20 days, greatly meeting users' requirements for development timelines."
By leveraging digital technologies to improve quality and efficiency, Shandong Zhuangfa Pump Industry Co., Ltd. has steadily transitioned from mass production to mass customization. This year, the company also received cooperation invitations from several overseas manufacturers, and some orders have been renewed until 2028. Han Yuntao said, "In September, we participated in an exhibition in Russia to promote our products internationally. To achieve better development, our next step is to build a digital workshop, improve product quality, continuously meet customer needs, and transform the factory into a digital, intelligent, and modern enterprise."
While driving rapid industrial development, the company actively collaborates with universities and research institutions on industry-academia-research cooperation, establishing a professional R&D team focused on tackling core pump technologies and transforming research results. In the past three years, the company has invested over ten million yuan in R&D, obtaining more than 20 patents, injecting strong technological momentum into high-quality development.
